College-Prep Track (Grades 11-12)
The College-Prep Track is designed for juniors and seniors who are preparing for advanced coursework, college expectations, and the transition to increasingly rigorous academic writing. Through individualized mentoring, students strengthen higher-level skills such as argumentation, synthesis, research-based writing, and polished scholarly voice. Coaching supports the demands of AP/IB classes, dual-enrollment courses, and college-readiness expectations.
Support for Both Advanced and Developing Upper-Grade Writers
This track serves students across the full spectrum of readiness. Advanced writers—including those in honors, AP/IB, or competitive academic pathways—receive elevated instruction in nuanced argumentation, synthesis, credibility, and professional-level clarity. Students who feel less confident or need additional reinforcement benefit from structured, judgment-free support that builds independence and readiness for post-secondary expectations. Because coaching is individualized, students remain in this track whether they need a higher challenge or more foundational strengthening before graduation.
Focus areas include:
Weekly 75-minute coaching (8 weeks)
Advanced academic writing, synthesis, and formal argumentation
Support for AP/IB, honors, dual-enrollment, and competitive academic pathways
Developing a confident, polished scholarly voice across multiple genres
Research-based writing featuring structure, clarity, credibility, and nuance
MLA/APA citation mastery + research integrity
Ethical, effective AI-supported writing
Optional college-essay planning support (not a full drafting service)
Final curated academic writing portfolio for future applications
Families may begin with one 8-week cycle; many continue for additional cycles to build fluency, mastery, and independence over time. At the start of each new cycle, we do a short check-in to reassess goals and ensure the next phase of coaching meets your student’s current needs.
BONUS!
Throughout the Signature Track, students may submit two shorter drafts (maximum of 1,200 words each) or one longer draft (maximum 2,000 words) between sessions for individualized written feedback, with the option to extend this support afterward through the Monthly Draft Retainer.
